Medyk is an application designed to be developed within the healthcare sector at an international level. Its main goal is to improve access to medical professionals, enabling users to build closer and more meaningful relationships with healthcare providers.
Understanding the challenge
I have carefully identified the core of the challenge, which lies in simplifying the process of finding a doctor or accessing medical services quickly. These are tasks that typically involve considerable effort, and addressing this complexity is a key objective. Therefore, one of the fundamental challenges is to streamline and facilitate this process for users.
To conduct the research, a random sample of five individuals with diverse characteristics and conditions was selected to ensure broader representation and more reliable generalization of the findings.
Ideation workshop
In the initial phase, I conducted an ideation session where I developed a primary sketch that included several feature ideas aimed at enhancing user interactivity. Additionally, I facilitated an ideation workshop to rapidly capture and organize every idea that came to mind. This process allowed me to clarify each concept and identify potential challenges that could arise during implementation.
framework creation
To gain a deeper understanding of how to shape the core experience and enhance overall app interaction, I designed a user flow. This allowed us to better align the product with user needs and place stronger emphasis on delivering a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Prioritization plotting
Mapping a list of potential features on a prioritization chart allowed us to identify the most essential elements for the app. This approach helped streamline the decision-making process and optimize the overall app experience
Preliminary wireframes
By developing a more accurate—though still early—version of our schematics, I was able to address several issues that could have negatively impacted the user experience. My focus was on creating an intuitive and streamlined application by thoughtfully placing each function in the most user-friendly and visually pleasant way possible.
Style guide
By combining calming color tones with simple whites/blues, we were able to build on Medyk's identity as a calming and easy app. Use color sparingly throughout the app to convey which elements were interactive and should be paid attention to within the product.I also opted to use the Work Sans and Open Sans fonts within the interface as they played a critical role in matching the relaxed environment we had created in the Medyk interface.
