Project overview
Medyk, is an application designed with the purpose of being developed in the area of health at an international level.
It is aimed at improving the access that people have to health professionals, allowing the user to create a closer relationship with health workers.
-Understanding the challenge-
I have raised with great concern the identification of the core of the challenge. Understanding by challenge "simplify the process of searching for a doctor/medical service or to attend to some medical need immediately", I understand that these are activities that normally require effort to carry them out. this why, one of the fundamental challenges is to simplify this process.

-Research-
To carry out the research, first a random selection of a total of 5 people with different characteristics and conditions was carried out, for a better generalization.

interview
Once the 5 participants had been selected, a supplemented script of open questions was developed, seeking to obtain an elaborate and objective response from the participant, in relation to their interaction with the health system. The questioning was carried out in a semi-structured way, during which the details of the different tasks related to the topic were reviewed.
In the next point of the investigation, a selection of 3 doctors from different specialties was made, who were questioned in relation to the key points that they consider important in the interaction between patients and health workers. Achieving in this way, satisfy both the needs of the user and health workers.
In this phase of the project, our main objective was impartiality and openness to the various responses, in order to obtain the details and weak points found in the patient-health worker interaction; in this way, to be able to comply with the application of those points improved in the intention of the patients-health workers.
Preliminary ideation
We used affinity mapping to identify and decide which direction we wanted to take the product in. This was a form of brainstorming during the initial period that turned out to be very useful.

Ideation workshop
in the first part I went through an ideation session, as part of these sessions I created a main sketch with some feature ideas that I thought could help with user interactivity.I also did an ideation workshop to collect each idea that was came to my mind in the shortest possible time and clarify each one of them and the problems that I may encounter.

Competitive analysis
We examined several potential competitor apps, mainly those that could infringe on the app's revenue and popularity. Medyk has the opportunity to become the best in the market by bringing features from each app, seeing their flaws and improving them, to create a one-stop shop to become the best app.
Competitor 01.
The app offers an interaction design, but in terms of visual design it seems outdated to me. Despite the fact that the app has been constantly updated, I don't notice the same effort or significant changes in the visual part of it.
The app has big buttons, with big shadows at login. It has a lot of waste of space, because for a reason all the functions are organized at the top of the screen.

Competitor 02.
The design of the app is nice, modern and easy to use, it has a fairly linear user journey and the way each of the features are organized is quite simple. It has a remarkable color palette to look at and the registration process is easy. The app follows many of the design trends of recent years.

Competitor 03.
Is an application that helps you communicate with your doctor's office and access your medical records. The app has a simple design, but many of the functions can be confusing, to see a doctor you must have a specific code given by him or search by name and hospital, which complicates the speed and fluidity of the search process

framework creation
To better understand how we would build the core experience to create a better application interaction experience, design a user flow. This helped us focus more on user experience and needs.

Prioritization plotting
Plotting a list of possible features on a chart helped prioritize the essential app features and helped optimize the entire app process.

Logo ideation
the logo was made with some characters to create an image of familiarization with the app and make it recognizable

Lo-fi ideation
Working on the initial designs, I started to come up with the initial concept of the design, trying to create a design that is intuitive and simple enough, this design brainstorming helped me quickly weed out the good and bad ideas.
Preliminary wireframes
By creating a more faithful but still quite preliminary version of our schematics, I was able to solve some of the problems that would ruin the user experience, trying to create the most intuitive and simple application, placing each of the functions in the most pleasant ways for the user.

Wireflow

Style guide
By combining calming color tones with simple whites/blues, we were able to build on Medyk's identity as a calming and easy app. Use color sparingly throughout the app to convey which elements were interactive and should be paid attention to within the product.
I also opted to use the Work Sans and Open Sans fonts within the interface as they played a critical role in matching the relaxed environment we had created in the Medyk interface.

Final design
-Desktop administration dashboard-
As part of the doctor's administration, I developed a dashboard capable of being used by the assistant or the doctor in the hospital on a desktop computer.
facilitating the doctor administation, without neglecting the option of administering the app from the cell phone

the dashboard presents you with functions such as seeing the percentage of patients that have been seen in the month, accepting or rejecting requests for future appointments
the app has options such as viewing and managing future appointments in the form of a calendar

The application boasts a version for the Apple Watch, allowing effortless engagement with its features and constant notifications regarding pill schedules or meeting reminders. The Watch app mirrors the phone’s functionality but in a condensed format for expedited, straightforward use.
